Rubber Compounds

What is rubber?

Elastomers, better known as rubber, are highly elastic materials made from natural or synthetic caoutchouc. Elastomers include numerous economically important materials such as butadiene rubber, acrylonitrile butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, ethylene propylene diene rubber, chloroprene rubber and polyisoprene rubber.

Rubber and rubber compounds have many different areas of application that range from car tires and erasers to disposable gloves and other uses in medicine and hygiene.

Excellent release properties

When a rubber compound is heated, it takes on a sticky and later viscous form. In order to prevent the rubber compound from sticking to itself or to other materials such as the molds, during the production of sealing profiles, a release paper is often used.

BRANOperl is a paper coated on one or both sides, which is ideally suited as a release paper due to its excellent release properties. The paper has good heat resistance and is available in a bleached or unbleached version.
